Recently the mining company Kalamazoo Resources applied for a minerals exploration licence for an area of 218 square km, known as the Wattle Gully South Licence, that includes the Chewton Bushlands.
If, like us, you’d like to know what Kalamazoo wants to do on our land then you can ask the company Exploration Manager Luke Mortimer, as he has offered to meet with us on Friday week 12 July at 6pm in the Chewton Town Hall.
The Bushlands Association AGM will start at 7pm following our meeting with Luke. Under General Business we can discuss issues related to the Exploration Licence application.
